FROM: The Widow's Diary
So I quickly rushed to my late husband's friends house (actually that was his only friend, people had deserted us when we needed them the most)
"Pastor Joshua, please we really need your assistance, my children and I are about to be evicted Sir " I cried out
" Oh! I am so sorry to hear that ma'am, what's the issue again, those thugs?" He queried
" Yes Sir, my boys tried to defend me when one of them tried harassing me Sir, and they beat them blue-black"
I explained
"Wow! It is well, I also noticed your swollen face as you came in, it is well Ma" He said flatly
"Amen, please we really need your help Sir" I pleaded on my knees
" Ah Madam, you are aware of my my family and I financial difficulties, in fact the only money left in my wife and I pockets is our tithe! And you know how much we talk about being faithful in the payment of tithes" He explained his dilemma
"But Sir, please you are the only one I can come to, I need to get some drugs for my children, they don't look too good" I asked
"Ma'am I can't give you God's money …"
"...Even if i can get some pain relievers for them, mine can wait" I interrupted
" But I just explained that my wife and I do not have any money Ma'am, or do I give you God's money?" He replied angrily
"Pastor, so you would rather that my children and I suffer in pain? We have not even had anything to eat for the past two days!"
"You put me in a tight corner, I have told you it's God's money" He reiterated
"Fine! Go and pay your tithe while my children and I starve to death Man of God"
With that, I walked out of his house.
I had come to my wits end. Who else do i turn to? Was I really putting Pastor Joshua in a tight corner?
To be continued...
That Widow
Tithe talks are always controversial. While some will argue that you can help others with it, I think it's not a good idea. God's money is God's money. Pastor Joshua's mistake was mentioning it in the first place.

Thanks for reading Lope! God bless.
DeleteAlthough the Pastor has every right where the tithes are concerned, I truly believe it is only you and GOD business when it comes to tithing. But I can't see how a man of GOD could let her go without doing something, because if he didn't have anything to help, that did not mean he know someone who could. ( but that is my personal view)
